CROWN POINT (04-21-2015) What appeared as doom and gloom for the Crown Point Bulldogs, became their second win over the Portage Indians. It came off the bat of Thayne Bukowski, as the centerfielder with two outs in the bottom of the seventh got the ball into the right field jet stream with a man a board for a two-run game-tying homer.

The Bulldogs completed the 8-7 extra innings victory in the eighth when Geoff Kozlowski hit into an E3, a ball misplayed by Indians first baseman Jesse Bustos, which scored Joey O’Keefe, who led off the inning with a deep double to left. The Indians, who took a 7-5 lead with multiple runs in the fifth and sixth innings, left the bases loaded in their half of the eighth. They would leave in all, 11 men on base.

Jared Ford, who started the game on the mound for the Indians, went 4-5 with five RBIs. His three-run double, gave Portage the lead in the sixth, as Crown Point went ahead 5-0 after the first two innings.
