CROWN POINT (02-06-2018) The non-conference match-up between the Andrean 59ers and the Crown Point Bulldogs certainly did not disappoint anyone in attendance at the Bulldog Gym on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

The two teams changed leads six times and tied at seven different points of the game.

However, the Bulldogs extending their winning-streak to a season high four-games would not prove reality, as the 59ers picked-up a 65-58 win.

With the victory, Andrean improves to 12-6, while Crown Point drops to 8-10.

Exciting for the crowd, both teams combined for five scorers in double-digit figures as each team had one player achieving a double-double.

Leading the way for Andrean, senior guard James Hudson had 19 points, with a perfect three of three from beyond the arc.

Making all nine of his free-throws, freshman forward Kyle Ross put together a double-double of 18 points and nine rebounds.

In all, the 59ers out-rebounded the Bulldogs 34 to 26 as each team turned the ball over 11 times.

Crown Point had a strong showing from junior guard/forward Sam Snodgrass, leading all scorers with 21 points and adding a double-double with 12 rebounds.

Junior guard/forward Elias Gerodemos had 15 points for the Bulldogs while fellow junior guard Sam Krutz managed 11 points.

The Bulldogs led 11-7 after the first quarter but would trail 26-25 at halftime.

In the second half, the 59ers outscored the Bulldogs 39-33, including a 24-17 showing in the fourth quarter.

DOG NOTES: Despite the loss, this marked the fourth straight game that the Bulldog have scored more than 55 points. They scored 56 against LaPorte on Jan. 26, 62 against South Bend Washington on Jan. 27, 64 against Portage on Feb. 1 and now 58 against Portage. They have averaged 60 points in each of the last four games played.

In the 10 losses for the Bulldogs this season, eight have been decided in single digits. In Crown Point losses, opponents are outscoring them an average of 54-47.

USA-365.com NOTES: Internet radio station USA-365.com will broadcast the Lake Central Indians at the Crown Point Bulldogs game Friday, Feb. 16. Streaming coverage begins with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m. and the tip-off at 7 p.m. CST.
