CROWN
POINT (11-12-2004) -
A crowd of more than 1500 filled the Crown Point High School gymnasium for the
opening game of the 2004-05 season. In what was supposed to have been a
replay of last years blow-out, the Lady Hawks of Hebron outplayed the hosts to
a 17-14 first quarter lead before the pressing CP defense converted many
turnovers into easy layups and won 67-48.
Kaitlyn Sertich and Jill Weiand each had 19 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Jessica Sheets also had 19 points to lead the Hebron Lady Hawks.
Next up for the Lady Bulldogs will be another nonconference test Saturday night (Nov. 13) when they host Kankakee Valley, a team they also defeated handily one year ago this same weekend.
