CP left-hander Alex Ruiz pitched the first three innings in each of the last 3 games of the Northern State Tournament... pitching nine consecutive scoreless innings.	Six-foot right-hander Morgan Kral pitched the 4th, 5th and 6th innings in each of CP's final three state tournament wins. He also pitched nine consecutive shutout innings in the last 3 games. Alex Ruiz shifted to 1st base in the 4th and he does not need teammates Morgan Kral or Evan Frank to make a fifth-inning play at first base Monday night.	Jacob O'Donnell, who had not pitched in the state tournament, pitched a scoreless seventh against South Bend East Side to give the CP 12s a chance to win.

Morgan Kral is congratulated by his teammates after his 7th inning double won the Northern State Cal Ripken title Monday night in Hammond.	The CP 12-year-old Cal Ripken all-stars won the final three games, all by scores of 1-0 to take the Cal Ripken Northern State tournament championship.
