Indiana State Football adds Daniel Millington to 2006 signing class

TERRE HAUTE, IN (2-9-2006) – Indiana State head football coach Lou West announced today (Feb. 9) that Daniel Millington (Terre Haute, Ind./North) has signed a national letter of intent to play for the Sycamores beginning this fall.  Millington joins a list of 18 others that inked with ISU last week on National Signing Day (Feb. 1).

Millington, who is expected to play defensive end at ISU, was a three-year football letter winner at Terre Haute North High School. He also lettered in basketball and track with the Patriots.  Under head coach Chris Barrett, Millington was an Associated Press All-State Honorable Mention selection, as well as a member of the All-Wabash Valley and All-Vigo Country teams.  He has been selected to play in the Wabash Valley Coaches Association All-Star Classic this summer. Millington is a Region 6 All-Star and an All-Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference selection.

As a fullback, Millington averaged 4.6 rushing yards per carry with five touchdowns. On defense, he had a trio of interceptions as a senior with five fumble recoveries, including one that was returned for a score.  With the signing of Millington, the Indiana State class stands at 19. The Sycamores inked four mid-year transfers that have already enrolled at ISU, one other junior college transfer and 13 high school seniors.
