CROWN POINT (7-7-2006) Obviously
there are 7000 other youth baseball brackets, but this is the big one.
This is the 12-and-under bracket that leads to the now-famous Little League
World Series at Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
This is also the bracket that leads to the state
finals which are... this year... in Merrillville.
The fact that the state finals are in
Northwest Indiana should draw even greater significance to the local all star
team playoff schedules outlined in detail below.
Keep revisiting this site for more information as it develops, but there is a
possibility that there may be some live "real-time" media coverage
of some of the state finals. There has never been a broadcast out of
the Merrillville Little League fields that
I know of.
The Merrillville Little League is less than
5 minutes south of Southlake (Westfield Shoppingtown) Mall at 94th and Mississippi Ave.
It will be very interesting to see if any region teams are able to play in the
state finals in front of a "hometown" audience.
