HAUTE, IN (1-9-2005) – The
Indiana State men's basketball team dropped a Missouri Valley Conference contest
to Northern Iowa 64-48 in front of 3,163 at the Hulman Center Sunday (Jan.9).
The Sycamores shot just 37.5 percent from the floor, while UNI connected on 52.8
percent of their shots.
David Moss led the way for the Sycamores with 15 points. Moss finished the game with 6 of 14 shooting from the floor and recorded a career-high eight assists in 35 minutes of play. Amani Daanish scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds. Gabriel Moore chipped in nine points for the Trees.
Ben Jacobson led Northern Iowa and all scorers with 18 points. Grant Stout recorded a double-double for the Panthers as he scored 12 points and gathered 11 rebounds. Eric Coleman and Chris Foster each added 12 points in the winning effort for UNI.
The loss drops ISU to 5-10 (0-4, MVC) while Northern Iowa improves to 11-3 (2-1, MVC). The Sycamores will return to action on Wednesday, January 12 when they host Creighton.
