Moss hits buzzer-beater  to lift Sycamores over Western Michigan, 59-57

Kalamazoo, MI (2-18-2006) Indiana State's David Moss hit the game-winner with 0:00.6 seconds remaining to complete a come-from-behind 59-57 victory for the Sycamores at Western Michigan in a non-conference clash on Saturday afternoon. The win is the fourth out of the last six games for ISU with Moss back in the lineup, as the senior again led the Sycamores with 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting. The Sycamores improve to 12-13 on the year, while Western Michigan falls to 11-14 overall.

The Sycamores trailed for the first 39 minutes of the game, including a 36-28 at halftime after ISU went through a 4:51 scoring drought in the first period. ISU trailed by as many as 13 with 15 minutes remaining, but then went to work at cutting into the lead. After getting the lead down to three on several occassions, the Sycamores finally tied the game at 57-57 on a Jay Tunnel free throw with just under a minute remaining. The Sycamores than got a stop and Moss proved his worth one more time as he nailed a jumper from the left elbow to seal the win.

Gabe Moore was the only other Sycamore in double-figures with 10 points, while freshman Jay Tunnel added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Fellow freshman Adam Arnold also chipped in seven points and six rebounds.
