ISU drops game to Wichita State, 72-63

TERRE HAUTE, IN - (2-22-2003) —  The Indiana State men's basketball team could not overcome a late rally by Wichita State in dropping a 72-63 decision to the Shockers.

Aaron Hogg scored 23 points, including 14 in the second half, as Wichita State held off Indiana State 72-63 on Saturday.  Some tough defense play in the second half got ISU as close as four points in the waning minutes of the game, but big shots by Wichita State, gave the Shockers a hard fought victory.

Marcus Howard led Indiana State with 18 points and four steals, while David Moss added 13 points.

Wichita State shot 53 percent, making 26-of-49 shots with eight 3-pointers. Hogg had three 3-point baskets.  Indiana State shot 46 percent on 24-of-52, with Howard getting three of the Sycamores' five 3-pointers.
